Our main focus is the baby's emotional development, particularly supporting them in forming a warm and secure bond and attachment to their key person. When babies feel safe and comfortable, they start their journey of exploration to fulfil their learning potential.
Sensory exploration is the key feature of all babies’ learning. We provide an extensive range of heuristic resources to enable the use of all senses when exploring their surroundings but also to promote communication, language and gross motor skills.
Targeted resources and activities such as music and movement sessions, messy play and art activities stimulate babies’ cognitive skills and improve physical development. Learning and development are not only confined to the room, but our outdoor space also provides a safe and secure learning environment for our little explorers to quench their curiosity.

Our highly trained childcare providers are passionate about their work. They enjoy getting messy with the babies and encourage them to take part in all activities throughout the day. However, there may be times when babies require some quiet ‘me time’, and that’s OK too. Little Owls Day Nursery in Danbury and Billericay provides cosy areas where babies can enjoy discovering books and sensory toys at a tranquil pace, supported by their key person. Our rooms offer a warm and colourful feel, providing fun and exciting art and messy play activities. We have a role-play area and a cosy area with age-appropriate tables and chairs to meet your baby’s needs, enabling them to explore a range of opportunities.
